Hello World!
I've bought this domain name during the winter, i wanted to make a new blog about some project i wanted to create, but i got caught in school and i really didn't have the time to get either this blog or the project going. But now that school is over (since yesterday) i can start working on projects!! Tonight i worked a bit on the project i have going on right now and i thought this would be a good time to share what i got cooking.
So, Last week, i got my shiny new Phone (in fact it is my first phone) i got the newly released in Canada, Google Nexus One.
While playing with it over the past couple of days, i got the idea for a project. I used to have a iPod touch which i liked a lot and bought a lot of apps from the app store, and since i sold my iPod to my sister, i lost every apps i had on there. I knew most of them we're already on Android so i didn't really care. But, one of my favorite app, which is named Capsuleer (an app which gives information for an online game i play), didn't have any decent equivalent on Android, so i decided to create my own!
So tonight i was able to advance a great deal on one part of the program which is actually an offline Atom feed reader, i got all of the architecture laid in, and next step is to be able to actually select a feed to read its posts. The way the program is setup, i decided to use a lot of XML (i already needed the part to read the Atom feed so...) i have a XML files which contains information about the various blogs(name, adress, last update ...) so the list of blogs can easily be modified in later iterations.
In the Coming week, i'll be starting an Internship in a small company named Airex Control here in Quebec so i might also get caught up there and might finally give up on this blog so, we'll see.
